The British Bulldog, Davey Boy Smith, is one of the most decorated and celebrated athletes in Federation history.
This Manchester native proudly represented himself and his native England for many years, winning the Intercontinental Championship once and the Tag Team Championship on two occasions.
In addition, Smith was the first-ever European Champion, winning the title in Germany.
Unfortunately, a severe injury sidelined the Bulldog for quite some time, and many feared that the powerhouse might never return.
The Bulldog surprised fans around the world with his return to the Federation in Sept. 1999, immediately winning the Hardcore Title before handing it over to Al Snow.
The Bulldog has his mind on a bigger and better prize, one that has eluded him his entire life, namely the Federation Championship.
Tragically, on May 17, 2002, "The British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith died of a Heart Attack at the age of 39. RIP Davey, thanks for the memories.
